Black Label Cup moved to August
The annual Carling Black Label Cup match has been moved to August 1, due to Orlando Pirates’ participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The preseason match was originally set to be played on July 25, but the Buccaneers’ progression into the group stage of Africa’s second tier competition has scrapped those plans.
Pirates will play the third of their group matches on the weekend of July 24-26, travelling to Tunisia to take on CS Sfaxien.
This left August 1 as the only date on which the match between Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates could be played, and organisers have shifted the event accordingly.
Bucs won last year’s Carling Black Label Cup, defeating the Amakhosi on penalties after the teams drew 0-0.
