“I won’t lose sleep if we drop a point here and there” – Stuart Baxter

africanfootball.com reports:

“The next stretch of the league plus the break are the challenges we have to overcome,” said Baxter.

“We knew at some stage the games will come thick and fast and we will try to be as competitive as possible.

“I won’t lose sleep if we drop a point here and there, similarly I will not celebrate yet if we gain points, the league has a long way to go.

“I am not thinking about the opponents charging at us. We are physically ready to compete.”

Kaizer Chiefs is leading by 15 points and is still unbeaten. They have 12 games on hand for a theoretical maximum points of 36.

They need 71 points (they have 46 points) to win the league – assuming Sundowns wins all their remaining games meaning Chiefs can afford to lose or draw a few games.

Of the 12 remaining games Chiefs need to win 8 and draw 1 to reach 71 points. This gets easier (the target reduces) if Sundowns drop points.
