Majoro joins Cape Town City
Cape Town City FC have officially announced the signing of former Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu marksman Lehlohonolo Majoro on a two year contract.
The Mother City outfit released the following statement on Wednesday:
“I think we’ve saved the best for last. We are so excited, the squad and the technical team are equally excited as well, and we now hope that the Cape town fraternity will share in our excitement too.”
“We hope Capetonians, will see that we are trying to include everyone and have some more reasons to bring even the Pirates and Chiefs supporters to our home games to see their favourite players now representing #iamCityFC.”
The 29-year-old striker having previously been contracted with Orlando Pirates last season, has also represented Kaizer Chiefs and Amazulu since making his professional debut in 2010.
Club Owner, John Comitis further explains, “We seriously want to be contenders. A team needs to score goals, to win games and this is a clear indication that we mean business.”
Last week the club confirmed the arrival of 11 new players: Matt Sim, Ebrahim Seedat, Robyn Johannes, Tshepo Gumede, Shaquille Abrahams, James Brown, Samora Motloung, Renars Rode, Roland Putsche, Never Ngcuka and Duncan Adonis.
