Mashamaite – We are ready

Kaizer Chiefs centre-back, Tefu Mashamaite says the team have bonded following their mid-season camp in Cape Town.

The Amakhosi returned to Naturena on Monday after a week-long camp in Stellenbosch and Mashamaite insists it has been a huge benefit for the team.

“It gave us an opportunity to bond as a team,” said Mashamaite.

“We had an opportunity to refresh the aims and objectives we set out for the season.”

“The camp also gave us a chance to gather our thoughts after a protracted midseason break.

“We will see on the pitch of play how we respond to the break. We are ready, and we have to be ready.”

Kaizer Chiefs went into the break as the PSL runaway log leaders and will be looking at maintaining the momentum when the 2014/15 league programme resumes with a trip to the Free State Stadium next week.

Chiefs will play against Bloemfontein Celtic in the Absa Premiership fixture on Wednesday, 11 February with kick-off set for 19:30.
