Pitso not happy with match ball used
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane bemoaned the choice of ball used during the Brazilians’ 1-1 stalemate away to the University of Pretoria on Saturday.
Mosimane voiced his discontent following the encounter and is now dreading the fact that the same ball will be used when ‘Downs take on Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday.
“The ball that we use is a bad ball, I don’t know what kind of ball is that, I told the guys before the game that lets not talk about the ball. That ball we are going to find it again in Pietermaritzburg, it’s the same ball, we have to play, both teams play with it, okay they train with it,” said Mosimane in the aftermath.
“But let’s not talk about the pitch being heavy, ball different, but it’s a fact.”
The Absa Premiership allows the home team to use their choice of ball during league matches, with the sponsor of the respective team supplying the team with balls which they train with and play with.
Umbro supplies AmaTuks, Maritzburg United and Mpumalanga Black Aces with match kits and balls.
